Cookie Policy: Consent and Browser Controls
Last updated: 7 October 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Oz Betting Guide ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit deowatt.com. By using our website, you agree to the use of cookies as described in this policy.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet or smartphone) when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences over time, such as keeping you logged in or remembering your language settings. Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixel tags, may also be used and are covered by this policy.
Categories of Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the website to function properly. They enable core features such as secure log-in, session management, fraud prevention and page navigation. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off, as the website cannot operate without them.
Analytical Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website — for example, which pages are visited most often and for how long, and whether users encounter error messages. The information is collected in an aggregated form and helps us improve the performance and content of our site.
Marketing Cookies
These cookies are used to deliver relevant content and advertisements to you based on your interests. They may also limit how many times you see the same advert and help us measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
Managing Your Consent
When you first visit deowatt.com, you will see a cookie banner asking for your consent to non-essential cookies. You can accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or manage your preferences by category.
You may withdraw or change your consent at any time by:
- clicking the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of every page;
- clearing your browser’s cookies, after which the consent banner will be shown to you again on your next visit.
Refusing non-essential cookies will not prevent you from accessing the main functions of our website.
How to Control Cookies in Your Browser
In addition to our consent tools, most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
You can also set your browser to notify you each time a cookie is placed, or to block cookies entirely. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect the functionality of the website.
Cookies and Australian Privacy Law
We handle personal information collected through cookies in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). For further information on Australia’s privacy framework, you may visit the website of the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Important Notice for Australian Visitors
Please be aware that under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (Cth), it is illegal to provide or advertise certain interactive gambling services — including online casinos, online pokies/slots, roulette, blackjack and online poker — to persons in Australia. Oz Betting Guide does not offer, promote or facilitate these prohibited services. Licensed Australian operators are limited to sports and race wagering, and the only legal deposit routes for licensed Australian wagering are debit cards, bank transfer, PayID/Osko and BPAY. Credit cards and cryptocurrency cannot be used for online gambling deposits in Australia. If you are registered with BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register, you must not use our services.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
